Pilot Training

Fixed Wing and Helicopter Theory Programs

Antipodean Aviation will from March 2013 be commencing the first part of its operations with the introduction of its pilot training programs for both fixed wing and helicopter pilots. Phase 1 starts with the introduction of all levels of pilot theory including Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot License through to ATPL subjects for both fixed wing and helicopters. Phase 2 will involve the final component of the Training Division with the introduction of practical flight training. Other courses in Phase 1 will include Fundamentals of Flight Instruction (FOI) / Principles and Methods of Instruction (PMI) for the Instructor Rating along with Instrument Rating Theory (IREX) to name a few. In partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide these programs cover all the generic subjects for both fixed wing and helicopters but uniquely cover modules for FAA, CASA, and JAA/EASA legislation. Students can undertake single region subjects only (such as FAA or CASA) or undertake the full program which covers all regions of licensing theory (FAA, CASA and EASA/JAA).

Pilot Theory Programs include:

  • Private Pilot (PPL) Theory – Fixed Wing and Helicopter
  • Commercial Pilot (CPL) Theory – Fixed Wing and Helicopter
  • Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Theory – Fixed Wing and Helicopter
  • Instrument Rating Theory (INS/IREX) – Fixed Wing and Helicopter
  • Fundamentals of Flight Instruction (FOI) / Principles and Methods of Instruction (PMI)
  • Certified Flight Instructor Theory (CFI) – Fixed-Wing & Helicopter
  • Certified Instrument Flight Instructor Theory (CFII) – Fixed-Wing & Helicopter
  • Multi-Engine Flight Instructor Theory (MEI)

These courses are delivered outside the classroom but unlike traditional home study options where students have difficulty staying motivated or finding the time to study our programs are instructor facilitated to ensure you stay on track and complete the required study each week. The only difference between our programs and classroom delivered training is that you have the convenience of studying at home in a virtual classroom.
