Aircraft Ditching, Escape and Survival

Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) with Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS)

This course is designed for those who use or are required to use Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS) for all over water flights in case of an emergency ditching (or water landing). The course specifically covers the training knowledge and skills attained from the basic Aircraft Ditching, Escape and Survival Course or HUET but with the use of an EBS device. As these devices are essentially SCUBA devices, it is essential that all personnel using such devices are trained appropriately in their use to mitigate the risks of medical injury. With diving industry instructors and aviators on staff as your course instructors, participants are assured that the proper techniques and knowledge are gained to ensure you use such equipment in the way the manufacturer intended. Also, with the market leading manufacturer of EBS equipment (Aqua Lung for the Survival Egress Air and HABD device) on the team, you are assured you are receiving the right instruction on equipment use and maintenance.

Pre-requisites

Students on this course must have completed the Aircraft Ditching, Escape and Survival Course or an equivalent HUET course within the preceding 2 years.
